Interweave Party...

One of the things that I look forward to every year in Tucson is a party hosted by Interweave Press. I remember when it was held at the Botanical Gardens. Now it swells the rooms of the Tucson Art Museum.

Above is a shot of the ever-cheery and supremely delightful Jean Campbell. She is so incredibly talented and I just adore her blog. She's such a wonderful person! CLICK HERE to check out her blog.

The night was not short of wonderful people. Above is a shot of Susan Lenart Kazmer telling a funny story to Marlene Blessing. Both of these individuals have gone a long way to elevate the standards and quality of the bead world, thinking outside of the box.

Azalea would have been happy to see Hwasso (Sunyoung) Park of Ezel Jewelry Findings, who makes really amazing bezel wire and findings. Azalea and Sun bonded at a show in New York. The picture above is of Sun and her friend from Tucson. Sun said to remind Azalea to, "Be nice to your mama!" (Don't forget to check out the new Ezel Findings website and the new shop! It opens February 18th. CLICK HERE to go to it.)

Frequent magazine contributor, the lovely Rupa Balachandar is featured above. She's such a sweetheart! Make sure to check out her website. CLICK HERE to go to it.

Marilyn Koponen of Interweave Press strikes a classic paparazzi pose. It has a duel purpose of showing off her bracelets.

Always in motion, the author of Bead Romantique, Lisa Kan is pictured above (sort of).

Leslie Rogalski of Step by Step Beads chats with Marci and Clara of Nina Designs. All three of them are such a treat! Marci, a painter, just completed a stay at the very much renowned Yaddo.

Leigh of Interweave Press is sporting my felted fedora from Vi DeCou of Forever Tuesday. She's posing with Marlene Blessing. Both of them are so entertaining! I could talk with them for hours.

Guess who? My Facebook Friend, Leslie Rogalski and Kate Wiggins ham it up for the camera.

The beautiful Marie and Katie Wall of Fusion Beads pose for a picture. I had a really excellent time chatting with them and catching up. Hopefully I'll be able to make it out to Seattle for a little visit. They're AWESOME!

The party was filled with familiar faces. The two above were from Jayme and Melissa of Chevron Trading Post in Asheville, North Carolina. Both of them are just as sweet as sweet tea.

Lana and Joan Tucker of Off Center Productions were there and it was such a nice little visit. Both of them are extremely down to Earth, loyal, and creative folks. I love their work because it has evidence of the process and they collaborate with the divine in creating their wonderful little one of a kind works of art.

I had a wonderful time seeing old friends and making new ones! I feel really fortunate to be apart of such a vibrant and creative community.
