New Anne Choi Bead...

I've been coveting this little beauty for a while now. It's the latest addition to my Anne Choi bead collection and I love it. I've got a plan for it. Most likely when I get back from Tucson and have a bit more time and have restocked my bead stash. Let's just say that it'll incorporate a Green Girl Studios calla lily charm, tons of pearls and of course lots of chain.

This one is KILLER! Love it!
I don't know how you can afford all these Anne Choi goodies. You must really scrimp and save. That would be like my whole bead budget for the month. Then I probably wouldn't even be able to use it. I have a hard enough time using my GGS beads!
Man, I really wish I could go to Tuscon. Did you see those goodies on Cynthia's blog!? I WANT THE MUSHROOMS- they are awesome!

btw, it took everything in me to put this bracelet together. The BUBO owl is my favorite!

I am creative in the ways in which I've been saving. For instance, I noticed that when I used to go out drinking more frequently... I would spend at least $25 each time. That's about four drinks plus tip. I don't really have time to go out anymore and when I do, I normally don't drink as much. And then I used to cook a lot at home, however now that I'm working like crazy and am hardly ever at home, I eat a lot at the restaurant (that I work at) which cuts down my food budget quite a bit. And I've started taking my recycling goods to this handy-dandy machine that pays back the deposit on glass and certain plastic containers... which here in New York is not only environmentally-conscious, but also adds an extra $25 every week or so. I also started sharing our wireless network with the neighbors, which has cut down on my utility bill. So, everything has a way of working out. I have to be really conscious of what I'm spending nowadays, but I've been able to make wiggle room for the little luxuries that I love.

Not only that, but I think Anne Choi beads are totally worth it! Although they are more pricey than many other beads, there's a lot of time, work, and raw materials expense that go into their making. That and I know that my purchase is going to an AWESOME person. She is truly amazing. So, I feel more comfortable making concessions for something I love that makes me happy that's worth it value-wise and helps support a friend.

And... when you're hooked, you're hooked. What can I say? I've got an Anne Choi bead addiction! :-)

Those are callalily flowers, no? Very lovely indeed... though I'm not sure about the price.

Hey Alba. To anyone who thinks Anne Choi beads are too expensive, I challenge them to make the same bead of equal craftsmanship, quality, and material and say it again. The raw materials alone are quite pricey. Not only that but her beads are artisan made... they aren't manufactured in another country by the hands of children or mass produced by heavy machinery. Each and everyone one of them is held in her hand, cared for and brought from concept to finished piece. These are little works of art. Some things are just worth it; Anne Choi beads are one of them.
