The African Traders...

Needed some Nag Champa and stopped in this store on my way home. They sold various goods from Africa, including incense, statues, metalwork, and BEADS! They were pretty much giving away these lampwork ones - so, I couldn't refuse.

Yeah, these are really just funky lampwork beads that I'll hold on to until just the right project comes along. They remind me of the ones I used to make a long time ago.

I don't really know what I'd ever do with these ones, but I think I'll eventually find a piece that needs a little help from one of these ones.

I'm going to see when I get back if they have any opalescent Dutch glass from the 1600's. These were priced for almost a song... so it might be interesting to see how much a nice strand will go for. Last time I checked, it was going for $200 a strand. Perhaps they'll have it cheaper? We'll see.
